Artist Bio:
‘I am Chaya De Silva, a contemporary artist based in Surrey, UK, specializing in expressive mixed media works that explore themes of identity and the human experience. Originally from Sri Lanka, I was immersed in the artistic traditions of my homeland, particularly Batik art, which was my family’s business. Though I studied business management at the University of Sunderland, my passion for art has always driven me. My work breaks traditional boundaries, using bold colors, textures, and contrasts to create dynamic, thought-provoking pieces. I’ve exhibited my art in galleries and shows across the UK, capturing the attention of diverse audiences.”
